Here at Color Visions we care about the environment and offer products that are environmentally friendly

The hardwood products we offer are all harvested from actively managed forests. Engineered hardwood uses up to 1/15 of the premium wood that a 3/4 inch solid plank does. Laminate floors give you the same look of wood without being made out of wood.

Cork and bamboo are another alternative to solid hardwood floors. Cork is cut from the tree without harvesting the whole tree and can be done multiple times. Bamboo is the fasted growing wood used for floors. Other advantages of bamboo include its ability to be stained many colors and harder than red oak. Bamboo has a unique look and is a long lasting flooring choice.

Carpets made with polyester yarn use less petroleum to produce. The yarn is produce by using recycled materials. Mohawk alone diverts millions of soda bottles out of landfills and into new carpet that costs less.

Ceramic tile is made of clay and minerals, which are cheap and plentiful. Natural stone like granite, marble or travertine are mined in quarries. These quarries are filled with water when empty and make a new habitat for fish and animals.

We at Color Visions are proud to offer these great products for your home. We also use low VOC adhesives on our installations. Waste materials are taken to the North Mecklenburg Recycling Center for another go around.
